Pro-am Ballroom Dancing

Ballroom dancing has had an explosion in popularity in recent years. In the United States, nothing has been more popular than Pro-am dancing. What is Pro-am, you ask? It is where a professional dancer or teacher partners with an amateur dancer or student.

One of the major challenges for dancers is finding a regular partner. Pro-am solves that problem. It is very beneficial for the student as he or she gets to train, show and compete with a trained professional. Most major competitions now have pro-am categories based on the age and dance level of the amateur dancer. At most competitions in the United States, the pro-am categories are the largest segment of these dancesport events. Regional, National and even World championships are now held in the pro-am arena. No longer does a dancer have to sit on the sidelines and watch or wait to reach a certain level. The advent of Pro-am ballroom now allows any dancer to be able to realize their dreams and potential. A dancer now needs only to want to do it and there will be a professional teacher to help them realize their dance dreams.
