Practice Nights
Whether you are just beginning, a social dancer or an all-out competitor, practice nights have something to offer you. It's a chance to improve your dancing-and to have fun doing it in an informal but lively environment.
A typical practice night will have music playing constantly. The songs will cycle through each dance, including cha cha, rumba, samba, jive, and paso doble. Often, if there are a lot of dancers in attendance, there will be two rounds of each dance so that everyone can have a turn on the floor without being pressed for space. If you have a particular song or songs that you love, you're more than welcome to request it (or even bring a cd).
This is an opportunity to practice your routine, to work on your technique, or simply kick back and dance. Many people practice by themselves; others bring partners, or find someone to practice with just for the night. Whatever you decide to do, practice nights are not only great preparation for competition-they're a way to improve endurance, get a feel for sharing the floor with other couples, and to dance through any mistakes without pausing. Not to mention, they're a chance to just "get out of your head" for once. Regardless, you (and your partner) determine the pace and approach that is comfortable for you.
Attend our practice rounds and enjoy developing your dancing.
