Intensive Dance Boot Camps.
One of our truly unique offerings with respect to dance training is our "Boot Camp"-a kind of intensive dance experience that typically takes place over the course f a few days to a week. Focusing on Latin or Standard Ballroom, these intensive dance camps combine technical training with fitness and endurance for an all-around education in dance.
These boot camps are valuable for a number of reasons. If a particularly significant competition is on the horizon, this period of intense dance training is a fantastic way to get into shape in a short period of time, master choreography, and gain overall focus. If it's the end of the summer, and the new competitive season is around the corner, there's nothing more effective than our boot camp to kick back into high gear and wake up and re-energize the body.
While the daily schedule might vary depending on the time of year and the particular goals of that session, the elements are generally the same. Dance lessons in Latin and Ballroom are part of every day, incorporating training in technique, styling, and artistry. Fitness is an equally important factor: the day might start off with a warm-up stretching session, and finish with Pilates or a cool-down aerobics lesson. Rounds are always part of the agenda as well, where the emphasis is less on drilling technique, and more about being in the moment, enjoying the dance, and running through choreography without stopping to tweak and scrutinize.
