Group lessons.
What are Group Lessons?
During group lessons, students receive instruction, work on technique, learn new patterns and learn the character of the dances. Students are introduced to new skills every lesson and given opportunity to practice the new skills.
These lessons create a fun, supportive environment that helps students feel connected to the group, and learn together. Students learn both from individual instruction and from each other. Group Lessons are great for beginning students, and most new students to start out in group lessons.
Benefits of Group Lessons
While some folks initially may be concerned that group lessons create peer pressure and competition, they quickly find that group lessons actually help students feel more independent and confident in dancing. Working together with other students increases creativity and fun!
Over time, experience has shown that many people learn more in group lessons because they encourage cooperation that builds confidence. This builds a strong foundation for success, and it helps students in many positive ways as it transfers to other areas of their lives.
